This pendant is a reflection of my own heritage — a bit of the Puerto Rican flag turned into a charm, serving as a reminder of my family’s roots. The triangle shape has a raised star in the middle, inspired by the shapes found on the flag.

When I was little and trying to remember the difference between the Puerto Rican and Cuban flags, I was told that “Puerto Rico is like a shining star in the ocean, so you’ll know our flag because the star sits inside a blue triangle instead of a red one.” I loved the image it painted in my head, so I carved this little banner as a totem to remind me of the beautiful, special place that shaped so much of my family, our history, and our traditions.

Styling

The pendant sits on a braided cord with beads knotted on each end, and the long length gives you lots of ways to wear it. I chose a cord with dark and light blue to represent the blue triangle on the Puerto Rican flag, while the ivory cord gives you more flexibility for any way you want to style it. The ivory cord is a bit more slippery, for which I recommend using a double knot to prevent the necklace from coming undone easily.

This listing is for a silver pendant with silver beads, but there’s also a gold version.

Inspired by wildflowers growing in cracks in the sidewalk and along the edges of the fence around my childhood home, these flowers are hand made from wax, each petal shaped individually and topped with small gold beads before being cast in 14k gold. Eye catching and organic, they still feel lightweight thanks to the open spaces inside each petal.

The pale, misty white of an icy white rose cut diamond balances beautifully with smaller sparkling white diamonds in this ring. I designed the thin band to be slightly taller than it is wide, making it stronger and less likely to warp but still look delicate.

Ancient Egyptians believed a scarab beetle rolled the disc of the sun across the sky each morning, and so the scarab became a symbol of rebirth, renewal, and growth. This protective amulet features a hand-carved scarab pendant with hieroglyphs on the back that spell out a blessing: life, prosperity, and health.

At the tip of the constellation Cygnus, The Swan, is a pair of stars that have been circling each other since they were born, slowly dancing their way closer to each other.

This ring was inspired by those stars, with two sparkling white diamonds set into a tapered band. The surface is smooth with hand-carved craters, like the surface of an asteroid speeding through space, and is cast in 14k gold.
