OOAK Sapphire & Moonstone Drop Earrings
Dramatic sparkling Sri Lankan sapphires and large moonstones are set inside of hand carved, organically textured settings. The blue-purple color of the sapphires set off the blue (and sometimes pink) flashes of color from the iridescent rainbow moonstones, a combination that’s light and airy but still striking. I built up each setting in wax, melting and puddling it together for an organic, natural look, and then cast them in 14k gold.

Style It With…
I love these mother-of-pearl beads as an alternative to a more traditional pearl necklace. Carved from the same shells that give us pearls, mother-of-pearl is made from the same nacre material but with a beautiful, iridescent sheen. Here, I strung a length of them on white silk cord and sprinkled in gold beads.
This necklace looks great against most patterns and colors you’d want to wear it with, and also layers well with gold chain necklaces and long pendants.

A single Sri Lankan sapphire in the most beautiful shade of purple-blue catches your eye at the center of this 14k gold ring. I set the stone in a simple setting punctuated with gold beads, inspired by ancient Roman and Egyptian rings found in cases at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Egyptian Wing. To make it comfortable to wear, I tapered the band so that it’s slightly wider at the back but thinner where it meets the stone to emphasize the sapphire.
This ring is made to order and will be ready to ship in about 6-8 weeks.

Like a ribbon of stardust twisting through space, this thin, delicate ring was originally carved in wax to capture its perfect curves. Each ring is cast in 14k gold and polished to a lightly matte finish.
